I love to draw! Creating something totally original with only a pencil and paper is one of life’s greatest joys. I drew a lot when I was Drake’s age. I drew pictures for other kids at school. I often found a way to rely on drawing in my school projects. My best friend also loved to draw. We spent hours drawing together. Now, as an adult, I don’t draw nearly as much. I wrote this book to inspire young readers to make drawings of their own. You don’t have to be the best artist at school. You just have to imagine something in your mind, put a pencil to a piece of paper, and see where it takes you. You just might find a little magic along the way.
